The principles

Principles of GoAmour

Ten principles for promoting life — shared openly, with a policy of addition, not subtraction.

Our event series are based on the ten principles of GoAmour. Any participant, speaker or artist invited to an event is welcome to add to the list, and we welcome that with open arms. Having said that, we stick with our principles and look for people who can enrich our community by adding to them.

Principle 1: The Golden Rule, with emphasis on “others”

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Principle 2: Choose freely, without prejudice or judgment

Choose freely, without prejudice and judgment, your own craving of knowledge, “isms”, affiliations, organizations, ideologies, religions, Artificial Intelligence, etc.

Principle 3: The ability to end or continue any subscription

The ability to terminate or to continue a subscription to medicine, knowledge, institutions and AI. The ability to reaffirm or cancel memberships as a being sees fit. The ability to pay for services and ideologies as needed, without long-term contractual obligations.

Principle 4: To love with knowledge, respect, caring and responsibility

To love with knowledge, respect, caring and responsibility towards all others — as defined by the writer Erich Fromm in his book The Art of Loving.

Principle 5: The preservation and sanctity of human rights and digital rights

Preservation and sanctity of the principles of human rights and digital rights, for ourselves and for others.

Principle 6: Support for what promotes life, in its many forms

The willingness and commitment to support organizations, institutions and ideologies that promote life in its many forms.

Principle 7: Demanding a cure to hate and violence

Demanding a cure to hate and violence by those who inflict it — if they can be cured and changed. And if not, having these criminals face judgment in this world, and not just in the next.

Principle 8: A commitment to oneness

Oneness with fellow beings, with nature, with God, and with all forms of sentient beings and life.

Principle 9: Focus on the quality of existence

Focus on the quality of existence, and not just the mere quantity of prolonging existence.

Principle 10: Add your own!

Open to suggestions! Who knows — figure it out and add to the list. Make this list as lengthy as you like, as long as the items on your list are in line with the nine principles above.
